The Counselling Team works together with all teachers to provide counselling and support to students with emotional needs. Besides one-to-one interaction, the team also runs mass programmes like the P.A.T.H.S. (共創成長路) and Big Sisters Scheme (大姐姐小妹妹計劃) as a means to help students adapt to the often-confusing and complicated adolescent years.
P.A.T.H.S. to Adulthood: A Jockey Club Youth Enhancement Scheme
- Working together with the International Social Service, HK Branch, the team aims to help students build up a clear and positive identity, provide opportunities for volunteer work, and aid in the students’ development of self-efficacy and social competence. Programmes include family and life education, volunteer work, tea gatherings and parent-child activities.
Big Sister Scheme
- Originally as part of the peer learning programme in Heep Yunn, this is a mentorship programme that has been running for over 15 years with ever increasing participation. Through a series of activities held throughout the year, senior students act as mentors to F.1 students to help them adapt to the new school environment. This year, we have a total of 250 participants, of which 70 are mentors, who will help organize and participate in activities such as volunteer and community work as well as adventure training.
