Exchange Programme with Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong
31 Aug 2026 School Life
20th and 21st August marked a milestone for our school community as we cultivated cross-cultural bonds with Li Po Chun United World College (LPCUWC) of Hong Kong. During this dynamic two-day exchange programme, we welcomed 19 incoming LPCUWC students representing 19 nationalities, including Botswana, Japan, Iraq, and Slovakia.
On the first day, our students visited LPCUWC, where they engaged in ice-breaking activities and shared personal photographs and stories. A campus tour and lunch at the college canteen fostered a welcoming atmosphere for authentic friendship.
On the second day, LPCUWC students visited Heep Yunn School. At the Student Development Centre, our students orchestrated interactive games showcasing Hong Kong’s heritage and introduced foundational Cantonese phrases. A community walk through To Kwa Wan with a taste of delectable egg tarts offered an immersive and novel experience.
Students found the programme transformative, and reflected that it has broadened their horizons and strengthened their intercultural communication skills. This exchange not only acquainted LPCUWC students with Hong Kong’s cultural landscape, but also empowered our students to evolve into confident, articulate global citizens.
