Evangelical Meetings: Open Our Eyes

Through the annual Evangelical Meetings, held on 10ᵗʰ and 11ᵗʰ April this year, we celebrated our religious heritage by exploring stories of Jesus and cultivating spiritual mindsets. Over the course of two days, students and teachers were inspired by eye-opening speeches and moved by heartfelt hymns.

Inspired by Luke 18:38–43, which recounts the powerful story of Jesus healing a blind man, this year’s theme was “Open Our Eyes.” We were deeply honoured to welcome Reverend Billy Ip, Reverend Michael Chan, and a group of alumnae from different generations who shared personal stories of witnessing God’s presence and discovering values that transformed their daily lives. We were also joined by E-mission and One Circle, two Christian groups that spread the gospel through music and personal testimony.

In addition to the sharing sessions and hymns, workshops were held throughout the week, encouraging students to reflect on religious stories and scripture through art.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Reverend Ip, Reverend Chan, E-mission, One Circle, and our alumnae for generously dedicating their time to share such meaningful insights. May we continue to follow in God’s footsteps, seeking peace amid perplexity and facing the challenges ahead with resilience and hope.
