Forms Two to Four Admissions  (2024-25 academic year)

School Fees

Heep Yunn School operates under the Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS). The school fee for Forms One to Six for the 2023-2024 academic year is $39,160.


  1. School fee payable in each succeeding year will be no less than the school fee paid in the current year. For example, students studying in Forms 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 now will be paying no less than $39,160 in school fees when promoted to Forms 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, respectively (subject to the EDB’s approval).
  2. The school may propose further fee adjustments to EDB in the future based on the development needs and financial situation.

Fee Remission Scheme

Heep Yunn School is committed to ensuring that no qualified student is denied admission due to financial constraints. We offer a comprehensive fee remission scheme that includes full (100%), three-quarters (75%), half (50%), and one-quarter (25%) fee waivers. Eligibility extends to students from families receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) or support from the Student Financial Office (SFO). Applications for Admissions to Forms Two to Four

We are now inviting applications for admissions to Forms Two to Four for the 2024-25 academic year.

  1. Application Period: From now until 17th June, 2024 (Monday)
  2. Application Method: Applicants are required to complete the Online Application Form. Online application form: click here
  3. Entrance Examination Fee: $75 (applicable only to applicants invited to the written assessment)


Elective subjects available for Form Four HKDSE candidates: 

Our school offers the Hong Kong Diploma for Secondary Education for senior secondary students. In addition to the core subjects, students are required to select a minimum of three elective subjects. Options for a fourth elective include Music and foreign languages*.

^French, Japanese, Korean and Spanish are fee-based courses offered by third-party institutions and will be held outside of regular school hours, with costs to be covered by students.

Written Assessment

Date: PM session of 28th June, 2024 (Friday)  


Areas of Assessment: English, Chinese and Mathematics 


Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in the written assessment. Invitations will be emailed to parents of the applicants on or before 21st June, 2024 (Friday)*. 


*If you do not receive a notification by 21st June, 2024 (Friday), please assume that the applicant has not been shortlisted, and no further correspondence will be provided.


On the day of the written assessment, applicants should pay the Entrance Examination Fee of $75 ( cash only) and submit the following documents:

  1. Printed and completed online application form
  2. Photocopy of the Birth Certificate
  3. Originals and photocopies of academic reports for the past three years, specifically:
  • first and second term, 21/22 academic year;
  • first and second term, 22/23 academic year; and
  • first term, 23/24 academic year

Original documents will be used for verification purposes only and will be returned after the assessment.

  1. Photocopies of certificates for other academic achievements or extracurricular activities, limited to 8 single-sided A4 pages or 4 double-sided A4 pages. If necessary, the applicant should reprint her certificates in a reduced size to fit the page limit.

Admission Interview

Date: Successful candidates from the written assessment will be invited, along with their parents, for an interview. The invitation will be sent via email on or before 6th July, 2024 (Saturday)*. Interviews are tentatively scheduled in the morning on 10th July, 2024 (Wednesday) .


*Please note that if you do not receive a notification by the specified date, it indicates that the applicant has not been selected for an interview. In such cases, no further notifications will be issued.


Interview Topics:

  1. A self-introduction by the applicant; and 
  2. Discussion on various topics such as school life, learning experiences, extracurricular activities, family life, etc.

Interview Language:

  1. English
  2. Cantonese
  3. Putonghua (as applicable or required)

Admission Criteria

  1. Written Assessment & Interview Performance: 40%
  2. Academic Performance: 20%
  3. Co-curricular Activities & Awards: 20%
  4. Conduct / Attitude: 20%


  1. Notification: Parents will be notified of the application result on or before 20th July, 2024 (Saturday) via email. Successful candidates will be extended an offer for a school place and will be invited to the school’s Orientation Programme for new students.
  2. Orientation Programme Dates: 19th August, 2024 (Monday) to 21st August, 2024 (Wednesday) (tentative).

  1. All supporting documents must be submitted in person; do NOT mail them to the school.
  2. To ensure complete fairness and integrity in the admission procedures, applicants and their parents should refrain from offering any advantages to school staff in connection with their applications.
  3. All personal data collected will be used for this application procedure only.
  4. Applicants’ information will be retained for two years. All submitted documents in the application process will be disposed of by the end of the application process unless stated otherwise.
