Hong Kong Model United Nations 2017

To Heep Yunn girls, learning is never confined in the classroom. This is especially true for language subjects where the more you put in, the more you gain. Our school has always been encouraging students to gain learning experiences from co-curricular activities. From 19th to 21st March, 11 students from F.2 to F.4 participated in the 30th Hong Kong Model United Nations in Hong Kong Science Park. During the three-day conference, participants became ‘delegates’ of different countries who debated and discussed various global issues with representatives from other schools. Participants were able to gain deeper insights into social affairs while they did intensive research on related topics before the conference. Apart from that, they also built new friendships as they cooperated with ‘allies’ from different schools during the debate. The HKMUN is indeed an extraordinary English learning experience. We hope that more Heep Yunn girls would seize such kinds of eye-opening opportunities in the coming year and enjoy the fun in the process!
